Find your guide at the OnBase Summit | EMEA 2016

I’ve never told anyone this before, and I’m sure no one is going to share it with my wife, but while descending Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2006, I became hopelessly lost. Somehow, I was no longer with my guides or anyone from my group. And, because we climbed to the summit in the dark – with an hour-long blizzard thrown in for good measure – I had no way of knowing which way to turn at some important decision points.

That’s why you hire guides. And why you should stick with them.

Guides train, prepare, and study the routes, so they know them well. They’re experts. They know the danger zones. And their job is to get you through them successfully.

Find your guide

Reaching the summit in the business world requires the same strategy. Sometimes, the best way to achieve it is by engaging expert guides who’ve been to the summit and back – repeatedly.

Luckily, I’ve been climbing mountains and practicing other “extreme” sports for decades, so when I became lost, I knew the first thing I had to do was to relax and keep my sense of humor. And then find the right valley.

And, I had a pretty good idea of where our summit camp was, so I actually made it back before the rest of my group.

If you’re ready to begin your journey – or you’re already half-way up the mountain, but encountering a blizzard – find your guide in Berlin, 9 and 10, November. Or, maybe you’re already a guide, but you’re ready for new routes and higher peaks.

Regardless of your scenario, let’s reach the summit together: Register today.
