3 important takeaways from the OnBase for Guidewire User Group

OnBase-Guidewire-User-Group-2015-day2

As the final day of the OnBase for Guidewire User Group commences, it’s hard to believe it’s almost over.

Yesterday’s sessions were filled with great information from Hyland executives about our relationship with Guidewire, the roadmap for our integration and best practices for mutual customers. Today, we’re closing out the user group with training opportunities.

Three essential takeaways I encourage every attendee to remember after the event are:

1. Continue to find opportunities to network with peers
Learning from other organizations that have been in your situation is essential to finding success and avoiding any hardships.

Representatives from Hastings Mutual and Mercury Insurance discussed their approaches to implementing OnBase and Guidewire. Giving specific examples of why they choose their approaches and the successes they achieved, including how to overcome hurdles, sparked great conversations. They were also able to answer questions from other organizations that are looking to follow the same processes.

2. Make your feedback known
Forums like user groups are great opportunities to speak to experts and obtain their insights about the key initiatives you’re hoping to accomplish. These conversations also give vendors the opportunity to find out about the trends or issues businesses are currently facing. If they don’t already have a solution, they can get ahead of the curve and develop new functionality to meet those needs.

For example, our latest release included more than 2,000 enhancements – most of which came from customer feedback and requests. It’s a great way to ensure we’re meeting customers’ ongoing needs and OnBase remains relevant into the future.

3. Keep the conversation going
Just because the event is over doesn’t mean all the learning, networking and discussions have to stop. Stay in touch with vendors and peers to check in on new development and hear the latest news. This will help keep the conversations going and the relationships strong.

Once again, thank you to all the attendees who were able to come to our Cleveland headquarters and attend this user group. I’m looking forward to staying in touch and hearing your progress and successes with the OnBase and Guidewire integration.
