#CommunityLIVE in Nashville: Beware the golf carts!

A few years ago, my wife and I went to Nashville. Holy cow, what a great time. What a great city.

Did you know Elvis recorded more than 200 songs in Nashville? It’s only gotten cooler since then.

When visiting any city, my wife and I love to walk everywhere. In addition to the fact that I have a hard time standing still, walking around aimlessly is how we always find the hidden gems.

So one evening, we set out from our hotel room to walk to dinner. I wish I could tell you I was wearing a bedazzled jumpsuit, but I wasn’t.

Wouldn’t it be great if I were?

If you agree, email my wife.

Regardless, while crossing a bridge, a gentleman driving a golf cart pulled up next to us. After some chitchat, he asked us if we wanted a lift.

“No thanks,” we replied. “We enjoy walking.”

He was a nice guy, but he was relentless. He really wanted to give us a ride. Indeed, it seemed as if we would wreck his night if we didn’t hop into his cart. So, even though we were less than a half-mile from downtown, when he said he didn’t want any money, we finally gave up and took the ride.

A ride that went right past downtown. Right past the restaurants. Right past Elvis.

Our new friend and driver was extremely proud of Nashville, so he showed us some sites – even though we had seen them that afternoon. At one point, he finally had to stop the cart to let people cross the street. That was our chance! We jumped out of the cart, repeatedly yelled thank you, and got out of there.

It’s all about you – our customers

If you’ve never been to CommunityLIVE, our action-packed end user conference (and so much more), know this: The entire conference is 100 percent focused on you. We want you to learn and grow as much as you can – but what you choose to do is totally up to you.

Don’t want to go across the bridge and see the Tennessee Titans’ stadium? No worries.

Don’t want to visit the Grand Ole Opry? Okay.

Don’t want to go to Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge? Fine by us.

After all, we’ll be offering plenty to do on-site, from yoga and fitness classes in the mornings to our awesome welcome and closing receptions in the evenings. And we’re pretty fun to hang out with.

350 sessions, self-paced labs, business strategy meetings …

But it’s not about us. It’s about you. And, with more than 350 expert-led sessions to choose from, customer case studies, hands-on technical training, and product demonstrations, you’re sure to find ways to help every department in your organization work better, smarter, and faster.

There are also hands-on training and recertification classes, interactions with experts, and opportunities to network with more than 2,000 of your peers. And you never know, they all might be wearing bedazzled jumpsuits.

There’s nothing I would like better than that.

So don’t wait, register today! And when you get to Nashville, don’t accept any “free” golf cart rides.
