3 training opportunities to get excited about at #CommunityLIVE

CommunityLIVE is coming soon. September 11 – 15 to be precise.

There are many reasons why more than a thousand people will attend the world’s best enterprise content management technology conference. Some people come to CommunityLIVE for the networking opportunities, others for the industry sessions and still others for the food.

It’s really important to us that we meet your dietary needs, but we’ll come back to the food later.

What do I get most excited about at CommunityLIVE? Here are my top three things:

  1. Pre-Conference Training

First, I really enjoy the two days of hands-on Pre-Conference Advanced Technical Training leading into the main conference.

As a pre-conference attendee, you have the opportunity to really get your hands on the software. There are more than 60 technical sessions – 3.5 hours in length – to choose from. And they’re all taught by the people who know the solutions and products better than anyone. From trainers to developers to quality assurance and installation professionals, our experts are there to answer all your OnBase questions.

What can you experience during these two days? A lot.

Using OnBase Studio, building Workflow Management and WorkView solutions, developing Advanced Capture templates, discovering the capabilities of mobile solutions and reporting dashboards, gaining a deep understanding of OnBase security – these are just some of the endless opportunities to learn.

You can also earn certifications. If you’re an OnBase Certified System Administrator or OnBase Certified Advanced System Administrator, attend the System Administration Recertification course. To accommodate different schedules, we’re offering it twice on Sunday.

If you are an OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator or OnBase Certified Advanced Workflow Administrator, simply attend any course relevant to your solution during these two-days of technical training.

  1. Self-Paced Labs

Second, I’m a fan of the Self-Paced Labs. We’ll have 25 available for you. Sit down and, at your own pace, configure and use the latest OnBase features and functionality.

Supported by members of our Quality Assurance and Development departments – i.e., the people who develop, test, deliver and support OnBase – these labs are full of folks who want to hear from you. They want to know what works and what doesn’t work for you, what you like and don’t like about the interface as well as  what you think could be updated or improved.

CommunityLIVE isn’t a one-way street. The feedback we get directly from you, our customers and partners, is why OnBase has evolved to become an industry-leading enterprise information platform with robust solutions. And we thank you for that.

  1. Connecting

Finally, the third thing I love is connecting people. This is my 10th user conference and being a “connector” is the highlight of every conference for me.

I have the opportunity to talk to hundreds of people over the course of the conference and find it so rewarding when I am able to connect people together. Sometimes it’s over a common industry or OnBase solution, other times it could be a first-time attendee looking for someone to shadow and learn from.

This is a good time for me to mention that if you haven’t take the opportunity to join one of the OnBase User Groups yet, be sure to do so before or during CommunityLIVE. It’s another valuable opportunity to connect with, and learn from, other people.

Now, I mentioned food before, and here’s why: Do not underestimate the power of breakfast, lunch and dinner when it comes to learning about OnBase. Introduce yourself to the person sitting next to you, odds are you have something more than just OnBase in common.
